We held a great CEO Circle meeting this past month with several of TechWorks affiliates and staff holding an engaging conversation on entrepreneurship as an economic growth engine for the Flint and Genesee County region.  Ron Scholl of G-S Associates shared great information on recent events attended and upcoming conferences for entrepreneurs and innovators to consider attending.

As leaders of a company or organization, learning from fellow peers about industry trends and hardships is vital to growth and profitability. Our meetings aim to provide executives with the network and ability to interact and discuss business situations and topics in a non-competitive and comfortable environment.

 We had a great evening of networking and holiday celebration several weeks ago!  TechWorks hosted our program participants, sponsors, and affiliated companies at Redwood Lodge from 6:00PM to 9:00PM.  The evening included an Awards Ceremony with our TechVenture graduation, live music, and fun times had by all.

Kettering TechWork's Innovation Center recently saw GEI CEO Dr. Joel Berry and Flint Mayor Dayne Walling welcome a cabinet-level delegation from the Dominican Republic.

On the agenda was how GEI's fuel cell electricity generation systems could help alleviate blackouts in the country.  The GEI units will be available in a variety of sizes to help meet the needs of homes and businesses across the country and would replace less efficient, polluting diesel generators.  The GEI system in non-polluting and up to 60% more efficient that generators.
